Doris Mulder, Vice President of Beloit Health System, has
been selected as President of the Wisconsin Organization of Nurse Executives
(WONE) for a two year term. The
organization supports and promotes strong nursing leadership with over 250
statewide members.
As President, Mulder shares the vision of shaping healthcare
through innovative and expert nursing leadership. Beloit Health System has a
number of nursing directors who are active in the state organization and Beloit
has incorporated some of the state’s mission into local strategic plans.
“I find that networking and learning from others in my
position are two of the most rewarding parts of joining this state
organization,” states Mulder who has been a member of WONE since 2009. During
that time she has been a board member for two terms, chaired the membership
committee and also served as a mentor for other nurse executives.
WONE goals include providing education to nurse leaders,
encouraging BSN and advanced nursing degrees, collaborating with other
disciplines to improve patient care, and educating legislators on patient care
issues.
“Beloit Health System is a leader in promoting nurse education
and safe quality patient-centered care,” adds Mulder. “Our goals align strongly
with the values of WONE. Wisconsin healthcare providers are proud that our
healthcare programs are some of the strongest in the country.”
