New Pelvic Floor and Women's Health Physical Therapy Program: By age 18, one in four women
already have a pelvic floor dysfunction. This affects bowel and bladder habits
which can be improved with treatment. This program is offered at three clinics: Beloit Clinic,
NorthPointe in Roscoe, and Occupational Health, Sports, and Family Medicine Clinic in Beloit. Women can expect to be part
of a team, working with the therapist with a unique individualized exercise and
relaxation program based on her individual assessment.
The state-licensed
therapists, Gina Jay, PT, DPT, WCS (ABPTS Board Certified in Women's Health),
Jana Brotherton, PT, DPT, and Shirley Bender, PTA, are specially trained in
women's health conditions, including bowel/bladder incontinence. urgency and frequency, pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse,
prenatal/postpartum conditions, intimacy dysfunction, menopause, and other
conditions, including musculoskeletal dysfunctions associated with fibromyalgia
and osteoporosis.
